I recently holidayed by the beach interstate. The header photograph to this blog page, was another photograph taken at the time, as I walked along the sand dunes toward the jetty. A sense of the freedom of being in nature arose.
Today the words to this poem came to me as I posted this photograph of the jetty.
Poem - The Jetty of Life
“The jetty rose out of the sand and into the sea.
We walked into the sun and cool breezes
to where many a boat had been moored.
The wooden rail at the end of the jetty showed
where the tidal and wave movement of ropes
had sawn the wood but they still held.
These scenes give the living life of the jetty.
