Last year saw me travelling quite a lot. I am currently planning a trip to our Kimberley region in Western Australia. It is hot and humid there with thunderstorms expected throughout.
The upside of travelling in this area, at this time of year is the freshness of the colours and the increased vibrancy of the landscape due to lots of new growth brought about by the frequent storms .
Happy New Year to all.
The Poetic Bond VIII is due to be released soon. One of my short-listed poems is included in the anthology edited by Trevor Maynard and published by Willowdown books. I am happily awaiting The Poetic Bond VIII's release.
I have 3 poems short listed for The Poetic Bond VIII, an anthology compiled by poet and editor Trevor Maynard - due to be published in November 2018.
I am also compiling a book of my poetry in between my home life, travel, and visual arts efforts. My blogging has suffered but I do hope to post more often in the coming year.
All the best in your artistic endeavours
Photography has been my passion since childhood. My first camera was a Kodak 'Brownie' which I won for a sketch which I sent to a local newspaper colouring and drawing competition.
My book is based on my orb photographs and its mysteries, some solved, many not. See About Orbs page for more information on this phenomena.
Many orbs remain a mystery to me. I cannot bring myself to place a label on their magic, as I can only pretend to know. The atmosphere knows and our internals know, for their refracted reflections are there, the images are there on the camera screen - the mind is opened, transfixed in the 'now' where we find the wonder of all things, the wonder of life and its essences: A feeling of awe and inspiration comes from nature herself. Life itself.
Love and Light
I am continuing to write poems and hope to publish some of these in a book; as well as entering several in upcoming competitions this year.
Inspiration has come from my travels within Australia, far away from home: the far outback, the east coast and the desert of central Australia. My poems also come from streams of mind in various genres; the flow of words gathered by my pen, now to be sorted: word-stormed.
Upcoming in Darwin is the Word-storm festival. An annual event in the Northern Territory, last year held in Alice Springs. I am looking forward to volunteering at some of the venues this coming weekend.
All of the best to the writers at the festival and all writers out there.

I originally opened my website to promote my book and blog about my passion for nature and photography.
Over the past 3 years it has evolved, as I have evolved; with creative instincts leading me to the visual arts, trying my hand in various media as well as continuing to write from my deeper mind poetry, and words that flow.
When it comes to blogging and writing I am still much the amateur, but hope to inspire visitors to find their own passion; even if it means going 'outside the square'; to try and trial whatever nudge you get from your gut instincts. If you don't try you wont know what you can do.
My drawing is abstract as I let it flow, rather than try to control what I draw. Some images are surprisingly OK and others go in the bin. This is just a part of life, no disappointments; because if we don't try and trial, we will never know what we may be capable of.
