Female Mistletoe Bird

11/8/2016

This tiny bird is one of our favourite visitors to a Grevillea tree close to our ourdoor area and is very hard to capture on camera.  Last week I was lucky she stayed for a while.  The very definite tweet tweet, let's us know when one of these birds is in the area.

The male Mistletoe bird is black with a red breast.  I will post a picture if and when I am able to capture his presence. Even though the female Mistletoe bird was seen last week several times, and tweeted her heart out, it appeared there was not a male Mistletoe bird interested at all in her sweet songs.  However we enjoyed her presence and now share these images of her.

Much Love

I love to connect with nature and have taken many nature photographs over the years.

I will be sharing here some nature photographs, many of them native to the Northern Territory, Australia.
